Cityline (Hong Kong) Limited (“Cityline”, “We”, “us” or “our”) is committed to ensuring the privacy and security of the Personal Data they hold. Cityline aims to meet this commitment by implementing the principles and requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("the Ordinance"). This Privacy Policy Statement is intended to explain our privacy practices.

From time to time and for the purpose of carrying on our businesses and operations, including the provision of services and facilities to you, you may be requested to supply data that may directly or indirectly identify you or other person(s) as an individual ("Personal Data") such as, but not limited to, the following:

1. Your name;
2. Email address;
3. Marketing research and/or feedback, for example, age, gender, nationality, marital status, preferences, educational background, employment history, transaction / services / consumption experience, et cetera;

Supply of Personal Data to Cityline is non-obligatory, but failure to do so may result in Cityline being unable to process your ticketing instruction, application / registration / purchase of related services / products / facilities, et cetera.

Occasionally, you may need to provide Personal Data about other individuals (e.g. spouse or children or guests) to Cityline and/or other institutions. In that event, to comply with the Ordinance, you are required to have first obtained the authorization of such individuals before using, disclosing and transferring their Personal Data, including giving consent on their behalf to our possible use, disclosure and transfer of their Personal Data, for the purposes you would want to achieve from Cityline. If necessary, we may require you to provide to Cityline any supporting documents which may be necessary to prove such authorization. You should also advise them that Cityline can be contacted for further information.

Your Personal Data may be used for the following purposes:-

1. Processing of your ticketing transaction, facilities / products / application to services / registration / purchase;
2. Conducting transactions and/or related administrative work on the facilities, services, products and support provided by Cityline and/or other institutions;
3. Handling matters related to your Cityline membership, such as ticket purchase, member application, redemption of gifts / rewards / offers, et cetera;
4. Verification of your identity and data access requests, such as enquiries, corrections, and/or deletion of personal data;
5. Promoting any facilities, products and/or services provided by Cityline and/or other business partners, such as sending you offers and promotional materials (see "Direct Marketing" section);
6. Maintaining and develop the systems and equipment of Cityline, including testing and upgrading these systems;
7. Meeting any obligations, requirements or arrangements, whether compulsory or voluntary, of Cityline to comply with, or in connection with:
   1. any law, regulation, judgment, court order, sanctions regime, within or outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region ("Hong Kong") existing currently and in the future;
   2. any guidelines, guidance, demand or requests given or issued by any legal, regulatory, governmental, tax, law enforcement or other authorities within or outside Hong Kong; or
   3. any of the Cityline's rules or bye-laws relating to the Cityline's core operations.
8. Complying with any obligations, requirements, policies, procedures, measures or arrangements for sharing data and information of Cityline and/or any other use of data and information in accordance with any programmes for compliance with sanctions or prevention or detection of money laundering, terrorist financing or other unlawful activities;
9. Prevention, detection or investigation of crime; and/or
10. Facilitating communications between you and Cityline.

Cityline may also use from time to time aggregate non-identifying information about its customers to better design and improve Cityline's facilities, goods and services that it offers. This information will not identify any individual in particular.

Cityline intends to use your Personal Data for direct marketing carried out by Cityline solely. The intended kinds of Personal Data to be used and the intended classes of marketing subjects are specified below. However, we may not so use or provide your Personal Data unless exempted by the Ordinance or we have received your consent.

For the above direct marketing use, Cityline intends to:

1. use your name, contact details and demographic information; and
2. market or promote the following classes of facilities, goods, services, support and related events and activities offered or arranged by us or our business partners, including but not limited to travel, banking and finance, beauty and cosmetics, property and shopping mall, entertainment, sports, music, gaming, transportation, automobile, household, fashion & clothing, retail, dining, food, beverage, insurance, gambling, education, health and well-being, drugs, culture & arts, environmental protection, charity, book and magazines, social networking, technology & e-commerce, mobile application, mobile payment, cloud services, media and consumer products and services, et cetera.

You can always opt-out free-of-charge by contacting our Customer Service if you no longer wish any of your Personal Data to be used in any of the described direct marketing purposes.

Personal Data supplied to Cityline will be kept confidential. However, we may, where such disclosure is necessary to satisfy the purpose, or a directly related purpose, for which the Personal Data was collected, provide such Personal Data to the following parties:

1. any person or company who is acting for or on behalf of Cityline, or jointly with Cityline, in respect of the purpose or a directly related purpose for which the data was provided;
2. any other person or company who is under a duty of confidentiality to Cityline and has undertaken to keep such information confidential, provided such person or company has a legitimate right to such information;
3. Cityline's agents, contractors, suppliers and any third party service provider who provides administrative, marketing and research, distribution, data processing, telemarketing, telecommunications, computer, payment or other services to Cityline in connection with the operations of its business;
4. government and regulatory authorities, investigative bodies and law enforcement agencies and other organisations, as required or authorised by law;
5. any institutions (including banks, credit card companies, payment platforms, et cetera) necessary to establish and support the payment of any services, products and/or facilities provided to you.

Cityline may also disclose your Personal Data to third parties: (i) when required by law, by court order or in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry; or (ii) pursuant to Cityline's good faith belief that disclosure is required by law or otherwise necessary to the establishment of legal claims or defences, to obtain legal advice, to exercise and defend Cityline's legal rights or to protect the life, body or property of any individual. This also applies when Cityline has reason to believe that disclosing the Personal Data is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing interference with the Cityline's rights or properties, whether intentionally or otherwise, or when anyone else could be harmed by activities causing such interference.

Cityline may also transfer any information it holds about you as an asset in connection with a merger or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of Cityline or as part of a corporate reorganisation or other change in corporate control.

The Personal Data that Cityline collects or obtains may be transferred to jurisdictions that offer lesser protection of personal data than that provided in your jurisdiction. By submitting Personal Data to Cityline or using any of the Cityline's services and facilities, you understand and consent to such transfer.

Cityline and its business partners reserve the right to record the activities, seminars and events, including but not limited to photos, audios, videos and other forms of documentary records, for future promotional use.

Cityline's website may contain links to other sites and pages which are operated by third parties. Cityline has no control over the content of the linked websites or the way in which the operators of those websites deal with your Personal Data. You should review the privacy policy for those third party websites to understand the ways in which your Personal Data may be used by those third parties.

By using the Cityline's website ("Website") and mobile apps, you agree that Cityline can store and access cookies, IP addresses and use other methods in order to collect website usage data and improve your on-line experience.

Cookies are small files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit or certain emails you open. They are widely used in order to make websites function properly, as well as to provide business and marketing information to the website owners.

Cityline uses cookies on its Website to track visitor preferences. All Personal Data that has been collected from you will only be stored for a duration that is relevant to the purpose for which it was processed and for as long as required by applicable law.

Cityline is committed to protecting the security of your Personal Data. It uses a variety of measures to help protect your Personal Data from unauthorized or accidental access, processing, erasure or other use.

Cityline may amend the Policy from time to time. The revised Policy will be posted on our website www.cityline.com.hk with an effective date, so that you will always know what information Cityline gathers, how it might use that information and whether it discloses such information to anyone. You agree that such posting will constitute sufficient and adequate notice.

You also agree that your continued use of our products or services after such amendment will constitute your acceptance of and agreement to be bound by the modified Policy.

You are entitled to request access to Personal Data held by Cityline about you and to correct such data.

Should there be any differences or inconsistencies between the Chinese version and English version of this Policy, the Chinese version shall prevail.

This Privacy Policy becomes effective from 01/01/2021.
